Adaptive Halloween Costumes

Target now has a line of Halloween costumes for children with disabilities! The costumes were thoughtfully designed to make access easy. The new line also includes a sensory-friendly unicorn and shark. According to the website, the unicorn and shark are “an allover plush construction for a soft and cozy feel,” “flat seams with no tags,” “a hidden opening in the front pocket for convenient abdominal access” and the option to remove attachments like hoods.

Although there have been many small vendors create their own Halloween costumes and products for children with disabilities, Target appears to be the first major retailer to be inclusive. This line comes out two years after Target released their new line of adaptive and sensory-friendly clothing for children with disabilities as well.
