May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Learning Disabilities Association of American (LDA) is offering great resources for mental health!

LDA works to create opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities to thrive, making it essential to address the correlation between learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Individuals with learning disabilities are more likely to be diagnosed with a mental health disorder, and studies have found that students with learning disabilities expressed more loneliness, more victimization, and were less social than their non-learning disabled peers.

LDA’s Mental Health Committee raises awareness about behavior, emotional, and mental health issues to support individuals with LD and their families.
